BRDF (BIDIRECTIONAL REFLECTANCE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION) DATABASE OF URBAN MATERIALS

Urban Vision was a collaborative project (2019-2022) aiming at developing an image pipeline from video acquisitions to virtual reality applications. The project was sponsored by the FUTURE i-site and involved Université Gustave Eiffel, Institut Géographique National, and Ecole des Ponts ParisTech. One of the goals of this project was to develop a database of the optical reflection properties of urban materials, in order to be able to render these materials in virtual urban environments. This database is made publicly available by the University Gustave Eiffel; it is presented here.
