The aim of this study is to investigate the therapeutic effect of FS-1, a new antibacterial agent that reverses the sensitivity of drug resistant pathogens, through identifying DNA modifications. Long-read PacBio SMRT sequencing was performed on chromosomal DNA of the methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) collection strain, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC BAA-39, under the effect of FS-1 as well as the control.
