Building upon our prior successful screening of Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis Ca360 (B. lactis Ca360) with high iron adsorption capacity, this study aims to thoroughly investigate its comprehensive efficacy and mechanisms in treating IDA. We hypothesize that B. lactis Ca360 may achieve safe and effective anemia correction by reshaping the gut microbiome to synergistically enhance iron absorption, recycling, and storage. This study systematically evaluated the therapeutic efficacy and safety advantages of B. lactis Ca360 over FeSO4 by integrating evidence from microbiomics.
