The UMN Gas-tight Serial Sampler 01 was deployed on 2019-09-21 at Main Endeavour Field South. Main Endeavour Field South is at the south end of the Main Endeavour Field located along the Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Water sampler. Water samplers are devices that collect physical samples of fluid. They can be remotely triggered, either manually or automatically, with a set schedule. Upon recovery, the fluid-filled containers can be processed to determine their chemical and biological constituents. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
