The dataset was collected from two photovoltaic (PV) panel configurations — a fixed-tilt panel and a solar tracking panel — installed in Dhaka City, Bangladesh (approx. 23.8°N, 90.4°E). Real-time electrical and environmental parameters were recorded over a period of 6 months, from January 2025 to June 2025, covering both winter and pre-monsoon seasons.
Measured parameters include voltage (V), current (A), power output (W), solar irradiance (W/m²), and ambient/panel temperature (°C). Data was sampled at a 30-second interval throughout daylight hours using calibrated sensors connected to a data acquisition system. The raw data was logged, timestamped, and preprocessed using Python, including steps for noise removal, handling missing values, and formatting into structured CSV files.
The comparative setup between fixed and tracking panels allows analysis of efficiency gain, energy yield difference, and performance under varying seasonal irradiance conditions in a tropical urban environment.
