Alkanes Data in Seawater and in Diluted Chemically Enhanced Water-Accommodated Fraction (WAF) of Oil for LTOPOS, a Long-Term Oil and Particle Oxidation Study (Mesocosom 7)

Mesocosm experiments were performed with seawater collected from Galveston Bay, Texas. Alkanes were measured in filtered samples from two treatments: 1) control (seawater) and 2) diluted chemically enhanced water-accommodated fraction of crude oil. Alkanes from two fractions were collected: particle associated phase and dissolved phase. The extracted samples were analyzed using gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS).
