Integrating Blockchain and AI Analytics for Intelligent Supply Chain Transparency: Implications for Cost Efficiency, Resilience, and Firm Value
收藏资源简介:
The growing complexity and instability of global supply chains has intensified companies' need for resilience, efficiency, and transparency. Blockchain technology has emerged as a digital infrastructure that improves supply chain transparency through end-to-end traceability, real-time transparency, and data immutability. However, limited and reliable data is available on how blockchain-based supply chain openness contributes to long-term business value. To address this gap, this study analyzes how supply chain resilience and cost efficiency act as mediating processes, determining the impact of transparency in blockchain-based supply chains on business value. The study uses a quantitative approach, drawing on data from a survey of 150 executives in the manufacturing, logistics, consumer goods, agriculture, and import/export sectors. PLS-SEM is used to test the theory and the proposed mediating effects. The results demonstrate that blockchain-based supply chain transparency significantly increases the resilience and economic efficiency of the supply chain. Furthermore, improved cost efficiency has a substantial impact on business value and is a crucial factor in the transparency-value relationship. On the other hand, supply chain resilience has only a minimal direct impact on business value, suggesting it is more of a support function than a direct value creator. These findings extend existing research by highlighting the processes that generate business value through blockchain-based transparency and provide management recommendations for aligning blockchain investments with cost control and strategic value creation.
