Leptothrix is a filamentous bacterium uncovered in sheath. We identified a sheath-less mutant designated lthC mutant. This is a result of RNA sequencing of wild-type and lthC mutant Leptothrix cholodnii SP-6, showing the effect of the mutation on global transcription.
