Tree Leaf Image Dataset from Kerala, India

This dataset contains a diverse collection of leaf images from 161 tree species (both wild and cultivated) found in Kerala, India. The images were collected between 2020 and 2023. Each leaf was scanned in RGB format, centrally aligned, and uniformly resized to a resolution of 1024 × 1024 pixels. A metadata file is included, providing detailed information for each species, including scientific name, taxonomic classification, IUCN conservation status, and leaf type. Additionally, the dataset includes MATLAB scripts developed to quantify two leaf morphometric measures: Segmental fractal complexity and Geometric entropy (See links for related papers).
