The genome sequenced is from the Ralstonia solanacearum IBSBF 2570 strain from Sergipe State, Northeastern region of Brazil, ecotype Moko, sequevar IIA-24. The IBSBF 2571 strain was isolated of banana bunch with symptons similar to the Bugtok disease in Philippines and different from the typical symptoms from Moko disease found in the northern region of Brazil. However strains of Ralstonia solanacearum from sequevar IIA-24 have been detected mainly in the North region of Brazil, obtained from pseudocaule of banana plants showing symptoms of Moko disease.
