TickMapKB: A FAIR Spatial Knowledgebase of Tick Species and Associated Pathogens in India

TickMapKB is a curated knowledgebase of tick species reported in India that integrates georeferenced occurrence records with associated biological and ecological information and is accessible at https://cb.imsc.res.in/tickmapkb/. The accompanying Excel workbook contains an introductory sheet describing the project, authors, and affiliations, followed by four data sheets comprising: Tick species distribution and biological data (2299 records), including host associations, pathogens, diseases, collection methods, and control strategies. Morphological keys for tick identification curated from the literature (196 records). Acaricide resistance records (984 records) with LC50 values, resistance factors, resistance levels, and chemical identifiers. Tick-associated protein annotations (3443 records) obtained from UniProt. The dataset supports research on tick biodiversity, vector surveillance, acaricide resistance, and tick-borne disease risk assessment in India.
