Replication Package Description This package contains the quantitative evidence and processing logic used to establish the "fragmentation penalty" and "geoeconomic buffer" effects discussed in the manuscript. Primary Dataset (Weaponized_Trade_Dataset.csv): * A structured 1,850-observation panel dataset spanning 2010–2025. It integrates time-series data for 124 economies, focusing on the Global South. Key variables: Real GDP per capita growth (World Bank), annual export growth (UNCTAD), net FDI inflows, and a categorical "RTA Depth" variable for ASEAN/RCEP and AfCFTA members. Variable Diary & Codebook (README.txt): * Provides technical definitions for all 12 variables and their corresponding source tags from the World Bank DataBank and UNCTADstat. Includes unit measurements (e.g., constant 2015 USD for GDP metrics).
