Complete Genome Sequence of a Histophilus somni Strain 91 Isolated from a Beef Calf with Pneumonia

Histophilus somni, a Gram-negative, fastidious, pleomorphic coccobacillus, is a member of the family Pasteurellaceae. H. somni can cause respiratory infections leading to development of bovine respiratory diseases complex as well as other clinical diseases. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of a Histophilus somni strain 91, which was isolated from a pneumonic lung tissue sample collected from a beef calf.

嗜血杆菌属的Histophilus somni，为革兰氏阴性、苛养、多形态的球菌杆菌，隶属于巴氏芽孢杆菌科。该菌可引起呼吸道感染，进而诱发牛呼吸道疾病综合征以及其他临床疾病。本研究报道了从一头牛肉小牛的肺炎肺组织样本中分离出的嗜血杆菌属菌株91的完整基因组序列。
