Indigenous and Local Knowledge: Hybrid and Traditional Crop Comparisons in Eastern Zambia

The Dataset contains household survey data from 379 households in Three districts of Eastern Zambia. The research questions were (i) What are the patterns of production and diversity of traditional crops among smallholder farmers in the study areas? (ii) What are the primary sources of traditional seed varieties in these areas? (iii) How do smallholder farmers perceive the performance of traditional crops compared to hybrids in terms of taste, pest resistance, climate adaptation, and soil suitability?
