In-solution synthesis of fully nonalternant molecular carbons featuring continuous pentagons and heptagons arrangements and inverstigating the assembly behaviors of nonalternant molecular carbon is highly important. In addition to 0D molecular carbons, I also attempted to introduce classic nonalternant unit-azulene into 1D graphene nanoribbons, gaining deeper insight into the influence of nonalternant topologies on 1D carbon materials.
