Microbiological study on the edges of 2 forest rings in Ontario, Canada. Those forest rings are large scale structures (430-560 m in diameter) seen from air. Their formation is yet not fully understood. The aim of this study was to characterize the microbial community changes along the redox gradients found in the edges of the rings to be able to understand the potential biological influence on the ring formation.
