Comprehensive Logbook of Ice Cores Extracted from the 2021/2022 Fimbule Ice Shelf Expedition

This dataset constitutes a comprehensive logbook of all ice cores extracted during the 2021/2022 Fimbule Ice Shelf Expedition in Antarctica. It is part of the Master's research project: "Development of a Multi-tier System for the Analysis of Ice Crystallography of Antarctic Shelf Ice", conducted by Steven McEwen. The logbook includes detailed descriptions for each ice core such as core imaging, coordinates of extraction, dimensions of the core, lens location, stratigraphy, the specific location of testing on each core, images of the testing location, and a brief explanation of why the testing was conducted at that particular site. The data collection period corresponds with the 2021/2022 Antarctic summer expedition, and the specific testing and analysis locations span across various areas within the Fimbule Ice Shelf.
