The Lake Macquarie Walking, Cycling and Better StreetsStrategy sets out a vision for a Principal Bicycle Network connecting majorcentres and places across the City, and beyond to Newcastle and the CentralCoast. Regional cycling routes of the Principal Bicycle Network are supportedby neighbourhood shared paths and local streets, plus on-road cycling provisionsfor more confident cyclists. This map shows existing and planned routes of thePrincipal Bicycle Network, local routes and established on-road cyclingprovisions. This map is updated periodically as routes are established, and in line with Council's capital works program.
