A literature based dataset comprises of distribution records of marine organisms reported from the Indian Ocean region gathered as part of the MLR Programme- Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS).本数据集为文献型数据集，收录了作为MLR计划——综合分类学信息系统（Integrated Taxonomic Information System, ITIS）项目组成部分所收集的印度洋海域已报道海洋生物的分布记录。
