Whole genome sequencing of emerging multidrug resistant Candida auris isolates in Turkiye

We present whole genome sequencing (WGS) analysis of C. auris isolates from 19 Turkish hospitals using MinION nanopore technology to explore genetic epidemiology and identify novel antifungal resistance alleles on both national and global scales. To our knowledge, this is the first and largest study in the literature focusing on C. auris WGS analyses in the geographical location of our country. This study aims to provide the use of molecular epidemiology in a sustainable public health response.
