<b>Efficacy and Safety of Sodium Fluorescein-Guided Resection in Glioma Surgery</b><b>：</b><b> </b><b>a meta-analysis</b>

Glioma is the most common malignant brain tumor. Intraoperative sodium fluorescein guidance aids visualization, but its efficacy and safety remain unclear. We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library up to Nov 31, 2025, including cohort studies or RCTs comparing fluorescein-guided to white-light surgery. Seven cohort studies (488 patients) were analyzed. Fluorescein improved gross total resection (OR = 3.50, 95% CI: 2.32–9.24, P < 0.00001) and reduced recurrence (OR = 0.32, 95% CI: 0.12–0.88, P = 0.03), with no significant differences in mortality or complications. Sodium fluorescein guidance increases resection and lowers recurrence without added risks, supporting its use as a safe, effective adjunct.
