Laurel: a scanned corpus of English verse, with per-line stress, identified metre, rhyme, and canonical references

Laurel is a corpus of public domain English poetry, encoded in TEI P5, in which every line has been scanned. Every line carries two rows of marks: the stress the meter asks for, and the stress the words themselves require, with the syllables that neither settles left open rather than guessed at. Stanzas carry a rhyme scheme lettered from rhyme keys, and every poem has a canonical reference on the CTS model that names its edition, since a citation to a poem is not reproducible unless it says which text it means.
