资源简介:
Five pollen samples were collected from marine sediments within a shoreline
brackish water pond in Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i. The pond was constructed between
AD 1200 and 1700 for the purpose of raising fish and was used into the late 19th
century. During the 20th century the pond was filled for construction of Pearl
Harbor Naval Facilities. Pollen analysis was undertaken to determine plants
growing in the area around the harbor and the pond during the time of its use,
and immediately prior to use.
