وفيات الاعيان

The Biographical Dictionary (وفيات الاعيان وإنباء أبناء الزمان) of Shams al-dîn Aḥmad b. Muḥammad, commonly called IBN KHALLIKÂN (who died on Saturday, 26th Rajab, 681, at Damascus1). Cf. the edition of Wüstenfeld and De Slane, and the translation by the latter.

Neatly written. Dated Wednesday, 29th Sha’bân, 1104 [=5 May 1693 CE]. The copy was made for Mîr Muḥammad b. Ḥâjjî ‘Alâ al-dîn.

An ornament on the first page. Coloured lines round the others. Some notes.

A biographical notice of the author (foll. 11-13), and a list of the names occurring in the present work (foll. 2-10), have been subsequently prefixed by different hands.
