Pelobates fuscus Transcriptome or Gene expression

The spadefoot toad (Pelobates fuscus) is a European member of the ancient and not very speciose anuran family Pelobatidae (part of Pelobatoidea with the families Megophryidae, Pelobatidae, and Pelodydae), inhabiting the Western-Palearctics and Nearctics.In order to develop molecular markers associated with known genes and to be applicable to a broad spectrum of research areas and conservation, we sequenced mRNA from six pooled tissues of a juvenile female and a juvenile male (brother and sister) from Poland (locality: north of Bydgoszcz, geographic coordinates 53.1736 N, 18.1928 E; collected in May, 2011, as larvae and raised in the laboratory).
