Photograph of a captured German fighter plane in France, ca.1915. The plane is grounded at center and its nose is facing to the left. It is a biplane with two seats and an inline engine mounted in its nose. Large German cross insignia are painted on the underside of the canvas wings, and a machine gun is mounted behind the back seat. The plane is surrounded by a tall brick wall, and several people are looking down at the plane from the top of the wall. Photoprint reads: "A.E.F., Albatross".
