Astrodust+PAH Cross Sections
收藏资源简介:
Absorption, scattering and extinction cross sections for astrodust, ionized PAHs/graphite ("cion"), and neutral PAHs/graphite ("cneu"). Astrodust file includes polarization cross sections. The astrodust data correspond to grains that are 1.4:1 oblate spheroids with porosity = 0.2<br> <br> Please cite <a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2208.12365">Hensley & Draine 2022</a> if using these data. Please also consider citing the paper where the astrodust dielectric function was derived (<a href="https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2021ApJ...909...94D/abstract">Draine & Hensley 2021</a>) and the paper deriving the observational constraints used to calibrate the model (<a href="https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2021ApJ...906...73H/abstract">Hensley & Draine 2021</a>). <br> <br> The astrodust files are organized as follows: <br> HDU 0: Information on file structure <br> HDU 1: Effective radius values (167) <br> HDU 2: Wavelength values (1000) <br> HDU 3: Log10 U values (91) <br> HDU 4: Cabs (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 5: Csca (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 6: Cext (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 7: Cabs, pol (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 8: Cext, pol (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 9: &#x222b; dT dP/dt Cabs &nu; B&nu;(T) (167x91x1000, erg/s/sr) <br> HDU 10: &#x222b; dT dP/dt Cabs, pol &nu; B&nu;(T) (167x91x1000, erg/s/sr) <br> <br> The files for PAHs/graphite ("c"arbonaceous grains) are organized as follows: <br> HDU 0: Information on file structure <br> HDU 1: Effective radius values (167) <br> HDU 2: Wavelength values (1000) <br> HDU 3: Log10 U values (91) <br> HDU 4: Cabs (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 5: Csca (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 6: Cext (167x1000, cm2) <br> HDU 7: &#x222b; dT dP/dt Cabs &nu; B&nu;(T) (167x91x1000, erg/s/sr) <br> <br> A Jupyter notebook illustrating use of these files is available on <a href="https://github.com/brandonshensley/Astrodust/tree/main/notebooks">Github</a> ("changing_size_distribution_tutorial.ipynb"). <br> <br> Finally, we also provide all data as plaintext files in the zipped directory.
