This BioProject focuses on the genome sequencing of Chlorella sp. UMT-B8, a genus of unicellular green algae commonly used in research due to its potential applications in biotechnology, including biofuel production, nutrition, and environmental remediation. The Chlorella sp. UMT-B8 genome was sequenced to better understand the genetic basis underlying its rapid growth, photosynthetic efficiency, and adaptability to various environmental conditions.The sequencing project generated both high-depth short reads and long reads to provide a comprehensive view of the Chlorella sp. UMT-B8 genome. By combining next-generation sequencing (NGS) and third-generation sequencing (TGS) technologies, we were able to achieve high accuracy and complete coverage, aiding in the assembly of a high-quality reference genome. The data generated from this project will serve as a valuable resource for understanding the metabolic pathways, stress response mechanisms, and evolutionary adaptation strategies of Chlorella sp. UMT-B8.
