Research Software

This study investigates research software usage patterns among Computer Science graduate students. Through a quantitative survey of master's and doctoral students, we sought to characterize the usage profile of these tools, including frequency, purposes, most commonly used software types, and main challenges encountered. Preliminary results indicate that, although these students demonstrate familiarity with research tools, significant gaps remain in the use of advanced features and knowledge of specialized software. The conclusion is that institutional initiatives are needed to provide training and more effective dissemination of these technologies, aiming to optimize their potential to support research in this field.
