Data</i> <b>11</b>, 1211 (2024). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41597-024-04043-z<b>Overview</b>Quasicrystals are solid-state materials with unique symmetries, such as icosahedral and decagonal diffraction patterns, first discovered in 1984. Since then, numerous quasicrystals have been identified, and extensive research has been conducted to explore their properties. However, a systematically organized dataset compiling the findings has not been available. Additionally, the difficulty of applying calculations due to quasiperiodicity has hindered the development of datasets. To address this issue, we developed HYPOD-X by focusing on experimental data. The data were manually or semi-automatically extracted from scientific literature and then organized in an accessible CSV format. We hope that this dataset will serve as a foundation for furture experimental investigations and drive new discoveries.<b>Datasets</b><b>Composition dataset</b><br>Content: 1,448 compositions<br>Data source: Text or tables in literature from 130 journal articles<br><b>Phase region dataset</b><br>Content: 556 phases, 16,208 points<br>Data source: Figures of 49 Al ternary phase diagrams<br><b>Properties dataset</b><br>Contents: 1,449 temperature-dependent curves, 52,311 data points<br>Data source: 490 figures in 193 papers
