资源简介:
This data pertains to a PhD project (now online as a preprint) investigating the role of small (SK) and intermediate (IK) conductance calcium-activated potassium channels and a subfamily of voltage-gated potassium channels (Kv7) in the regulation of colonic afferent activity.
Fig 1 shows the expression of transcripts encoding channel subunits (derived from publicly-available RNAseq dataset; see preprint). Figs 2-5 show electrophysiological data from experiments in which the activity of the lumbar splanchnic nerve, which innervates the distal colon, was recorded while chemical or mechanical stimuli were applied to the colon in the absence and presence of activators of SK, IK and Kv7 channels. Fig 6 shows analysis of experiments in which the intraluminal pressure of the colon was recorded.
All data sheets (in Graphpad Prism) are labelled to show the corresponding figure panel in the preprint.
