Land Maritime Public Domain

The dataset of the Public Maritime Land Domain (DMPT), included in the Viewer of the Public Domain Maritime Terrestrial, includes in a first phase cartographic and alphanumeric information of the beaches, wetlands, vertical cliffs and other goods determined by law.
The basic implementing legislation is Law 22/1988, of July 28, of Costas, Law 2/2013, of 29 May, on the protection and sustainable use of the coastline and amending Law 22/1988, of Coasts and Royal Decree 876/2014, of October 10, approving the General Regulations of Coasts.
Due to the sensitivity and fragility of the coasts, it is necessary to take measures aimed at their conservation and protection. Therefore, it is essential to finalise the Deslinde del Domain Public Maritime Terrestrial, since its execution allows to know and delimit the assets that comprise it and thus, to apply the instruments for its protection regulated by the Law of Coasts. The objective of this data set is to determine the TPMD, ensure its public use, regulate the rational use of goods and achieve an adequate level of quality of the waters and the seashore. The mapping included in this service contains the zones defined as Deslinde DPMT and the corresponding associated alphanumeric information. The data that can be consulted are: province, municipality, DPMT and reference.
