资源简介:
Between October 1993 and August 1994, the US Army Corps of Engineers Mandatory Center of Expertise for the Curation and Management of Archaeological Collections (MCX-CMAC), located at the St. Louis District, conducted an evaluation of archaeological collections and associated documentation generated from civil works projects under the responsibility of the US Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District. This volume includes an assessment of archaeological collections housed at the Museum of the Red River, Idabel, Oklahoma, the University of Missouri, Columbia; Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield; Arkansas Archeological Survey, Fayetteville; and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Additionally, an inventory of human skeletal remains and funerary objects that fall under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) is included. In total, approximately 906 cubic feet of artifacts and 57 linear feet of associated documentation are housed at five facilities in three states. All collections require some form of rehabilitation to comply with federal regulations. Approximately 180 individuals and over 1,300 objects were inventoried as part of compliance with NAGPRA.
