A study on the correlation between dietary nutritional status and oral microbial community structure in preschool children: a study based on three kindergartens in Lanzhou City, China

Dietary nutritional status refers to whether the various nutrients obtained through food intake are able to meet the body's needs so as to maintain normal physiological functions, health status and quality of life. Malnutrition and overweight/obesity are two different types of dietary nutritional status, both of which can cause significant harm to children's health. Overweight/obesity will increase the burden on various organs of the body, resulting in the occurrence of many diseases; while malnutrition can cause problems such as wasting, delayed development and reduced immunity.
