Investigating the genetic basis of acid and alcohol tolerance in Enterococcus faecium using TraDIS

Whole-genome sequencing (Oxford Nanopore) and transposon-directed insertion site sequencing (TraDIS) of Enterococcus faecium strain AUS0233(delta)tetM and generation of targeted mutants to identify genetic factors involved in alcohol and acid tolerance, and their role in resistance to biocides and antibiotics in clinical settings.
