Contaminants in the Traditional Food, Water, and Snow in the Carcross/Tagish First Nation Traditional Territory, Yukon Territory, Canada

Traditional foods are an important source of nutrition and also have spiritual, social, and cultural significance for the Carcross/Tagish First Nation (C/TFN). This project studies contaminants in wildlife species that are dietary staples for the Carcross/Tagish people, for which there is little contaminant research available within their traditional territory. It also studies microplastics in water and snow in this area to determine if there could be an ecological impact on wildlife and/or humans.
