Contaminants in the Traditional Food, Water, and Snow in the Carcross/Tagish First Nation Traditional Territory, Yukon Territory, Canada

Traditional foods are an important source of nutrition and also have spiritual, social, and cultural significance for the Carcross/Tagish First Nation (C/TFN). This project studies contaminants in wildlife species that are dietary staples for the Carcross/Tagish people, for which there is little contaminant research available within their traditional territory. It also studies microplastics in water and snow in this area to determine if there could be an ecological impact on wildlife and/or humans.传统食物对于卡克罗斯/塔吉什第一民族（Carcross/Tagish First Nation，简称C/TFN）来说，既是重要的营养来源，同时承载着精神、社会与文化层面的重要意义。本项目针对卡克罗斯/塔吉什人传统饮食中的主食类野生动物物种开展污染物研究，而在该民族的传统领地内，此类污染物研究目前仍较为匮乏。此外，本项目还对该区域水体与积雪中的微塑料进行研究，以判断其是否会对野生动物及/或人类造成生态影响。
