资源简介:
Winsen (Aller): Prinzensteine Winsen (Aller) On a country lane between Südwinsen and Oldau there are two rare memorial signs, the Prinzensteine. They tell of the murderous battle at Winsen on 28 May 1388. In this fratricidal battle, in which Lower Saxony stood against Lower Saxony, it was to be decided whether our homeland should belong to the ancestral Welfen dynasty or the Saxon dukes. The duke Heinrich of Celle and his allies triumphed. It is said that two brothers, princely princes who ever served in one of the armies, faced each other there. The fight between the two brave knights was fierce and they wounded each other to death. When one of them lost his helmet, the two brothers, who had once loved each other dearly, recognized each other. The dying were found with their hands tightly entwined. In memory of this brother fight the stones are said to have been set. They protrude only a little from the earth. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
