Transfection experiment with the plasmid containing pri-mir-124 in HEK293 cells

The microRNAome is comprised of annotated canonical miRNAs (anomiR) and a variety of recently identified microRNA isoforms (isomiR). While anomiR is well-studied in the last two decades, the functionality of most isomiRs is largely illusive. Here, we conducted both computional and experimental assays to estimate the functionality of isomiRs expressed in brains.
