Evolutionary Overview of Surface Wave Method Based on Bibliometric Analysis: Past, Current and Future

The surface wave method has been a cornerstone in seismic imaging and monitoring across diverse scenarios for the past 70 years. We offers an objective snapshot of the current landscape in surface wave method research through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. Utilizing both bibliographic and structured network analysis techniques, including Biblioshiny and VOSviewer applications, we meticulously examine the literature spanning from 1952 to 2024, sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection database. This work has been submitted to "SCIENCE CHINA earth science" for peer review ( Guan et al., 2024 ). The package includes the datasets utilized for bibliometric analysis in the submitted manuscript. It includes a text file named "Refined_TabDelimited_Data.txt" for VOSviewer software and a spreadsheet "Refined_Bibliometrix_Data.xlsx" for Biblioshiny application.
