In this study loading characteristics of rubble mound breakwater crown walls are investigated. This is done using a 2D physical model, testing for overall stability (through sliding) and temporal & spatial distributions of pressure along the face and base of the crown wall. A variety of wave conditions and geometries is used, with special attention for the influence of foundation level on the loading characteristics. This study shows the importance of this parameter and its link to the time lag between the maximum horizontal force and maximum vertical force in a wave impact. Using a new analysis method based on the factor of safety, this time lag is quantified and a reduction factor for the vertical forces is introduced.

本研究针对抛石防波堤(rubble mound breakwater)胸墙(crown wall)的荷载特性开展研究。本次研究采用二维物理模型(2D physical model)进行试验,通过滑移试验验证胸墙整体稳定性,并分析胸墙迎水面与底部的压力时空分布特征。研究涵盖多种波浪工况与几何参数,重点关注基础高程对荷载特性的影响。研究结果证实了该参数的重要性,及其与波浪冲击过程中最大水平力与最大竖向力之间的时间滞后效应的关联。本研究基于安全系数(factor of safety)提出了一种新型分析方法,对该时间滞后效应进行量化,并引入了竖向力折减系数。
