Nearshore water pressure and temperature measurements in Admiralty Inlet

This dataset contains nearshore water pressure and temperature time series data from the northeastern shore of Admiralty Inlet. This data was collected to validate modelled tidal data in Admiralty Inlet from Webtide and other modelled tidal products, and to measure changes in water temperature due to nearshore freshwater runoff. This dataset was developed as part of a larger project to establish observational systems for weather, current, and sinaa (lead) monitoring to complement Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ; Inuit knowledge and ways of knowing) and support real-time decision making for safe spring ice travel in the communities of Ikpiarjuk (Arctic Bay) and Mittimatalik (Pond Inlet), Nunavut.
