资源简介:

Meisje Met de Schelp (eng. Girl with shell) is a life-size bronze sculpture depicting a nude girl holding a shell to her feet, meant to adorn the top of a drinking fountain. The fountain that it is on was originally created by the government for poor or homeless children who have nowhere else to quench their thirst. It is now more known for the sculpture by Alphone de Tombay, a belgian sculptor (born and died in Brussels, 1843-1918). He was a student of Prosper Drion at the academy of fine arts in Liege. in 1873 he received a bursery from the Lambert Darchis and worked in Rome from 1874 - 1878. In he return to Belgium he stayed in Brussels until his death in 1918. This object is part of Scan The World. Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
