FORMATION OF ENGLISH LINGUISTIC CULTURE BASED ON ENGLISH NEWS TEXTS

In the context of globalization and the expansion of intercultural communication, the formation of the English language culture of students is of particular importance. English-language news texts are an effective authentic means of developing lexical, communicative and socio-cultural competencies. The purpose of the research is to study the potential of news discourse in shaping the language culture of students. The paper uses methods of scientific literature analysis, discourse analysis and linguistic analysis of English-language news materials. The results of the study show that the systematic use of news texts contributes to the expansion of vocabulary, the development of critical information perception skills and the formation of intercultural communicative competence. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of integrating English-language media texts into the learning process of a foreign language.
