Data for: DNA-based diet analysis of mesopelagic fish from the southern Kerguelen Axis

OTU tables (18S rDNA and mitochondrial COI), mapping file with sample info (species, standard length, etc.), and file with dates and lat/longs for the trawls. The OTU numbers are not continuous as some OTUs were assigned to parasites, fish, or contaminants rather than diet items. The sample numbers are not continuous as samples with low sequencing depth (<1000 reads for 18S, 0 reads for COI) were excluded. OTUs were assigned to order level for 18S and species for COI where possible.本数据集包含操作分类单元（Operational Taxonomic Unit，OTU）表（涵盖18S rDNA与线粒体COI两种分子标记）、包含物种、标准体长等样本信息的样本映射文件，以及记录拖网作业日期、纬度与经度的配套文件。 OTU编号并非连续，原因是部分OTU被归类为寄生虫、鱼类或污染物，而非饮食相关类群。样本编号同样不连续，这是由于测序深度不达标的样本已被剔除：其中18S标记的测序读段数小于1000，COI标记的测序读段数为0。 在可行范围内，18S标记的OTU被归类至目级分类阶元，COI标记的OTU则被归类至物种级分类阶元。
