A comprehensive analysis on tissue-specific transcriptomes in FKRP-deficient mice will shed lights on novel pathways responsible for dystroglycanopathies. In addition, elucidation of the network of molecular interactions will reveal the identity of the key genes and uncover their roles in this complex disease, as well as critical targets suitable for developing therapeutic strategies. We propose to collect brain and muscle tissues from three FKRP-deficient mice and three control littermates, followed by library preparation for RNA-seq (12 libraries in total) and comprehensive transcriptome analysis.
