Data Analysis of Frames, Evaluation, Erasure, and Salience of IKN-related discourses
收藏资源简介:
This study utilizes a corpus of 782 English-language texts published between 2019 and 2025, sampled to compare state-aligned narratives with independent media contestation regarding the IKN Nusantara project. The dataset is divided into a Media Group ($n=443$), comprising 258 entries from Antara News (consensus pole) and 185 from Tempo (contestation pole), and a Government Baseline ($n=339$) consisting of 216 entries from ikn.go.id and 123 from setkab.go.id. These articles were purposively selected based on their focus on environmental or developmental aspects of the capital relocation. The data was systematically analyzed through iterative coding of Appraisal patterns, Engagement markers, and Erasure/Salience strategies to uncover the linguistic mechanisms of consensus and contestation.
