Pseudocercospora macadamiae strain:BRIP 55526 Genome sequencing and assembly

Pseudocercospora macadamiae, the causal pathogen of husk spot in macadamia, has only been reported from Australia, the native region of Macadamia species. Lack of genomic resources has restricted progress toward understanding of the mechanism of disease development, spread and its role in fruit abscission processes. Therefore, we sequenced the genome of the holotype isolate BRIP 55526 to understand genome evolution and plant disease resistance.
