Green broccoli is a commonly consumed, nutrient-rich vegetable, whereas purple broccoli, known for its high anthocyanin content, is relatively rare. To investigate the anthocyanin biosynthesis in broccoli, one green broccoli and four purple broccolis were subjected to integrative analyses with transcriptomics.
