Title: Estimated Dynamic Causal Models (DCM) Dataset for: Spectral Dynamic Causal Modeling of Effective Connectivity across Multiple Brain Networks in Pilot Trainees Description: This dataset contains the individual subject Dynamic Causal Modeling (DCM) files generated/estimated during the first-level analysis of the associated manuscript. These files act as the necessary inputs for the group-level Parametric Empirical Bayes (PEB) analysis. Dataset Organization: The data is organized into two primary directories representing the study groups: Flight: Contains data for the Flight Cadet group. airTraffic: Contains data for the Control group (Air Traffic Control students). Directory Structure: Each group folder follows an identical substructure: Group_Name/sub_ID/: Individual subject directories (e.g., Flight/sub_01/, airTraffic/sub_40/). Contains the estimated DCM model file (e.g., DCM_sub_01.mat). Contains the extracted Time Series (VOI) files used to construct the model. Group_Name/group_glm2/: Contains the second-level General Linear Model (GLM) results or aggregated files associated with the group analysis. File Contents: .mat files (DCM): The primary data are the DCM_*.mat files within each subject folder. These structures contain: DCM.Ep: Posterior estimates of effective connectivity. Data Compression and Extraction Instructions: Due to the large volume of the dataset, the files have been split into multiple parts and compressed using the RAR format (selected for its superior compression efficiency compared to ZIP). To ensure the directory structure matches the analysis code requirements, please follow these steps carefully: For the Control Group: Download airTraffic1.rar and airTraffic2.rar. Extract them together into a single new folder named airTraffic. For the Flight Group: Download Flight1.rar and Flight2.rar. Extract them together into a single new folder named Flight. Verification: After extraction, verify that you have two main folders named exactly Flight and airTraffic. Usage Instructions (Important): To use this dataset with the provided Analysis Code: Update Paths: The GCM file (provided in the Code repository) contains absolute file paths pointing to the original location of these Flight and airTraffic folders. You must update these paths in MATLAB to point to the location where you have saved (and extracted) this dataset on your computer using spm_changepath or a custom script.
